Quality Specialist (Entry Level) - Temp
Our client in Newington, NH is looking to hire temporary Quality Specialists for the 2nd or 3rd shift.
The Quality Specialist analyzes documentation, determines compliance, updates product databases, works within the ERP system (Oracle), and performs statistical process evaluations.
This position requires strong attention to detail, strong decision-making skills as well as the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
Works with data from multiple manufacturing processes.
Performs product and process data gathering.
- Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, and management.
- Follows verbal and written instruction, accepts increased responsibility and is accountable for his/her actions.
- Follows safety guidelines (PPE, etc.
) and demonstrates safe work practices.
- Maintains a good safety record, has a working knowledge of the behavioral based safety initiatives and accepts the responsibility to communicate unsafe situations.
- Adheres to the safety and quality standards (goals and metrics) of the organization while working within a team environment.
- Drives job and process improvement within the department (through 5S as well as other improvement initiatives).
- Responds to multiple production assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Overtime may be required, based on business need; regular attendance required.
Desired Background/Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- Prior quality experience preferred.
- Ability to work any shift, including nights and weekends.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Possess the ability to react to changes of responsibility throughout the day.
- Must have the flexibility to respond to multiple assignments.
- Ability to learn database tools and become productive within prescribed period.
- Ability to speak, read and write English with technical proficiency.
