The Business Development Associate sets initial appointments for Senior Loan Officers. In addition, this position you will learn the mortgage lending business and understand what it takes on a daily basis to be successful from an experience Loan Officer.
Our company has a major focus of teaching the Business Development Associate to sell during the first year. Our philosophy is that developing strong sales skills and habits early on will lay the groundwork for a successful career with Waterstone Mortgage Corporation.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Speak to twenty referral accounts per day (Realtors, builders, accountants etc.) and set at least two appointments for the Loan Officer to meet with them. Some of these will be existing accounts and some will be referral accounts the Loan Officer has never met before.
Ability to consistently make cold calls and schedule appointments.
Grow lending industry knowledge by working directly with Loan Officer.
Schedule minimum of 3 appointments per week with prospects
Talk to 20 past clients per week to generate refinances and purchases
Track your calls and results on a daily basis
Attend daily team meeting
Attend weekly departmental meetings

Must be able to work full time
Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have a positive attitude
Must be dependable, self-motivated and require minimal supervision
Must be detail oriented
Must be able to work under stress to meet deadlines
Must be able to organize, prioritize and manage time
This is an hourly position. Compensation is based on experience.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
